Parc System recommissioned following system updates

Change to CLO requirement

Premier Waste Management has received noticed from the Environment Agency to a change to their requirements for this material. Previously, CLO not shown to have reached the required temperature was allowed to be used for landfill restoration.

Recycling facility commissioned at Monument Park Washington

The first phase of our recycling facility at Monument Park in Washington, Tyne & Wear is being commissioned. We have already secured planning permission for a 12-tower Parc facility for this site.

Animal By-Products Approval

Full approval for the plant was granted in September 2007 by Animal Health (formerly known as State Veterinary Service) for the new NTDP tower 3. 

 
New Bag Issue for the Recycling Bag Scheme
Survival Bag Scheme (formerly Orange Bag Scheme)
The new improved purple bags are now issued to householders and most should only have a few orange bags remaining of the roll of 26 (half a year) that were originally issued. The purple ones will start to filter through the system in November.

New Parc Recycling System leading the way for Defra New Technologies Programme.

A new bio-processing plant in County Durham which offers local authorities an environmentally sustainable way for disposing of unsorted domestic waste will become one of the first fully operational projects developed under the Defra New Technologies Demonstrator Programme when it is commissioned next month.

 
‘Third Way’ Waste Bio-Processing system set for National launch after successful 5 year trial.
An innovative bioprocessing system which offers local authorities an environmentally positive ‘third way’ for disposing of unsorted domestic waste is set to have its national launch at a major global waste strategy event today (Monday 11 December).
